Mission Endowment Fund (MEF)

Calvary Lutheran Church's Mission Endowment Fund has various dedicated funds that support Calvary’s mission.  The MEF Committee distributes income annually from the Perpetual Fund in the form of grants for the following purposes:    Community Outreach, ELCA Ministry Opportunities Nationally and Worldwide, New Congregation Ministry Opportunities, Capital Improvements, Community Outreach and New Congregation Ministry Staff.
Grant recipients for 2024 were: Bright Stars of Bethlehem; Center for Urban Education Ministries; CLC Mission Outreach - Calvary Cares Food Drive Ministry; CLC Mission Outreach - Sack Lunch Minstry; CLC Prayer Shawl Ministry; Episcopal Diocese of SD - North Co. Showers of Blessings; Evangelical Lutheran Education Association; Lutheran Retreats Camps and Conferences (LRCC); Quilts for Lutheran World Relief; Resounding Joy Inc./Sounds of Healing; Resounding Joy Inc/Sounds of Service; Survivors of Torture International, San Diego; Third Avenue Charitable Organization (TACO).
