Pastor Karin Boye
We are happy to have Pastor Karin Boye as Calvary’s Interim Pastor as we move through the Pastor transition process. Pastor Karin is a native of Hamburg, Germany and has served congregations in England, Germany, and the U.S. as well as teaching at seminary. She and her husband settled in Southern California in 2001 and since then she has served as Interim Pastor to eight congregations. We look forward to working with Pastor Karin and sharing our ministry as we seek to do what God is calling us to do.
Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries
Jeffery Moeller is a veteran Director of Christian Education, teacher, and consultant, with over 30 years in ministry. He has served congregations and schools in Washington, Missouri, Ohio, and California. Born in Indianapolis, to Bob and the late Peg Moeller, Jeff grew up with a younger brother and three older sisters. God’s calling came to Jeff while attending Lutheran High School of Indianapolis. Upon graduating in 1982, he attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. In 1987, Jeff completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and certification as a Director of Christian Education. In 2004 he earned an MBA from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Jeff has served in a variety of elected and appointed positions at the national and regional levels within the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. In addition, he was a national presenter for Lutheran Hour Ministries’ Mission U program. Jeff is married to Kimberly Haase, who serves as Director of Operations in Clinical Oncology for an area hospital system. Jeff and Kim have three children. Zack, their oldest lives and works in San Diego. Their daughter Rachel, lives and works in Surrey, BC. Their youngest Natalie is completing her degree at CSUF. They enjoy their family, the beach, the St. Louis Cardinals, traveling, hiking, and enjoying the wonders of God's creation. Jeff and Kim make their home in Carlsbad.
Office Administrative Assistant
Originally from Columbus,OH. Quinn moved to California with her husband Bradley and his parents. She loves spending time with her family and friends but most of all cherishes her faith and Calvary Lutheran Church. During her free time she enjoys going to the beach, exploring California and pursuing her love for photography.
Remote Administrative Assistant
Originally from Fargo, ND *cue Scandinavian accent*, Amanda received two B.S. degrees, one in Criminal Justice and the other in Political Science (because why not??) with a Minor in History, from North Dakota State University, Go BiZon (not biSon)! In her free time, Amanda loves to run with her yellow lab, Macie, read Janet Evanovich & Sue Grafton novels and hang out with her three girls and her husband Eric.
Each team is responsible for supporting the mission and vision of Calvary Lutheran Church.
